Dinosaurs on Parade
Martinsville's version of Jurassic Park. Creatively painted by area artists, a herd of 3-dimensional, 4' X 8' fiberglass dinosaurs will be prominently displayed in the area's largest outdoor art exhibit. Martinsville Speedway
Martinsville Speedway, founded by H. Clay Earles a year before NASCAR was formed, was one of the earliest tracks in America that's still part of the Winston Cup series. In those days, the track was a red dirt oval, with seating for a scant 6,000 folks. Virginia Museum of Natural History
The official museum of natural history in the Commonwealth of Virginia, it houses fascinating displays of dinosaurs, Virginia animals, fossils, archaeology, rocks and shell life.
